Constructed using Nike’s ‘Fly Wire” technology, Vectran fibers, which are five times stronger than steel and never lose their strength, are encased in the skim to harness the body of the shoe.
The thin wires act as supports on a suspension bridge for the Marty McFly Hyperdunks, providing the necessary support structure while eliminating excess weight above the sole. The basketball shoe’s sole is constructed with Lunar Foam, a material developed by NASA that gives the shoe excellent shock absorption and a great feel with minimal weight. With a breathable mesh tongue and a protective heel cup your safety and comfort is assured during your long flights.
The Nike Hyperdunk shoes deliver all the support you need on the streetball or basketball court with the least amount of weight. The Hyperdunk represents the future for Nike, and the future begins in this year’s 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the decision comes just months after seeing increased sales around 70 percent since the start of the year. Despite growing profits, the company claims the soaring fuel cost has led to this result.
“High costs of materials and fuel prices have increased our cost of good and cost of operating,” founders Steven Shore and Barry Prevor said in a statement. “Our customers are feeling the pain of high food and gas prices and declining home values, and many of them are being forced to shop closer to their homes and cut back on discretionary purchases.”
Did I just miss something here? Did Steve and Barry not report a growth in sales of over 70%? Don’t that mean that despite high food and gas prices along with declining home values, niggas are still buyin sneakers? Niggas will always be buying sneakers, white boys too. Steve and Barry just forgot to raise sneaker prices.

Adidas 2008 NBA Finals Signature sneakers on sale for a cool $1,017 per pair. The Adidas Signature Team Commander sneakers are the highest-priced performance basketball shoe that Adidas has ever made.
The Boston Celtics superstar Kevin Garnett designed them to commemorate the team’s bid for a 17th NBA championship.
Adidas will make eight pairs of black and green sneakers for each game played available to the public.
Each shoe bears the image of the NBA’s Larry O’Brien trophy on one side and an NBA Finals game number on the other.
In addition to the four pairs being sold in Boston, three more pairs are available to buyers on the basketball website Celtics.com. An eighth pair will be on sale at the NBA store in Manhattan.
Most fans will get a glimpse of the shoes when Garnett steps on to the court.
“The plan is for him to wear a different pair for each game,” NBA spokeswoman Kristin Conte said.
She said 100 percent of the proceeds from the sneaker sales will be donated to Boston area charities selected by Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics.
